In General

Every member of Brentwood Academy must treat others the way they would like to be treated. This includes all staff members as well as other members around the site. Respect what everyone else has to say and they will respect what you have to say. It's a simple concept.
The staff members do not allow fighting Out Of Character (OOC) or in the C-box in any way. However, if you have an issue with another member, take it to private message (PM), or to an admin to help sort the problem out. If we see any visible fighting, both parties will be banned from the site without warning.
When you first join, you are allowed to make only one character on a single account. If you have been active for 3 days in a row you may make a new character. But if you don't keep one of your characters active, they will be put up for adoption where you can adopt them back again.
There is no point in joining a site if you are not going to be active on it. Accounts that have not posted in two weeks time will be deleted. Accounts that are made and joined, but not posted with will be deleted in one weeks time. If you know you are going to be absent, please post on the correct board and your account will be safe.
No one, and I don't care what planet they come from, is perfect. People who make seemingly perfect characters will be asked to change something to make their person un-perfect. If you don't, the staff members will change something themselves.
This is a high-school aged role-play, so we can understand romance and violence. But please, don't overdo it. Don't be a slut, and don't be trigger happy, it just creeps people out and makes you look really weird. The ratings can be whatever you would like though, so if it's going to get graphic, please put an [x] or an [r] in the title to warn people who don't want to read that.
Please understand that your character wont get everything they want. Even if it seems 'unfair' it's probably not because your admins and staff here know exactly what were doing and we have good reasons. We try to make everything on are site fair. Don't complain, we find that very immature. Unless you have have a good reason why it's not right, point it out to us. Other then that, keep it to yourself.
Everyone who first joins the site will be a newbie until they regester in a clique! An admin and or staff member will PM you if you haven't joined a clique in one week.

While Posting

There will be a minimum of 150 words in a post. This is an Intermediate/Advanced RPG. Anyone posting under this limit will be asked to add more or delete their post. If you continue to make posts shorter then the allowed number of words, you will be officially warned and possibly banned from the site. We can understand a lack of muse, but please, try to at least put together the correct number of words, it isn't that hard.
The spell check is there for a reason, use it! It is very annoying to respond to posts that are grammatically wrong. One or maybe two spelling mistakes can be accepted every now and then, but don't start making a habit of it. Make your English teachers proud!'
God-moding and Power-playing will never be acceptable on this site. The first letter is c. If you do not know what they are, read the example below.

Correct: Billy pushed Bobby and hoped he would fall over.
Incorrect: Billy pushed Bobby and laughed as he fell over, breaking every bone in his body.

If you still cannot tell the difference, please ask a staff member to explain it to you.
Please indicate when you are using out of character (ooc). The second letter is h. Just note it somehow so the people you are posting with don't think you are still in character.

Creating Your Character

After you have read the rules and found the password to the joining board, check the "claimed names and celebrities" board to make sure that your character has an original name and a different celebrity.
Once you have done that, copy the form given and make your character, keeping in mind the number of words needed for each entry.
You must be accepted by an admin in order to start role-playing around the site. The third letter is e. Please be patient if you are not accepted immediately because we do have lives outside of this site. We will accept you as quickly as we can.
If you have any questions regarding the making of your character, please ask a staff member and they'll do their best to help you. The fourth letter is e.
Even if you have been accepted once already, you must be accepted for every new character you make. So if you make three characters, you must be accepted three times, once for each character.
Please keep in mind that this is an academy so there is an age limit. You're character can be no older than unless they are a teacher or some kind of higher authority in the game
There will be no pets. No dogs, cats, horses etc. Please also keep that in mind when you're making your character. The fifth letter is r.

After You've Been Accepted

After you have been accepted by an admin, you may post wherever you'd like. Please keep in mind though, this is an ACADEMY, which means you WILL have to attend classes at some point. The sixth letter is i. This entire role-play will not be based around doing nothing.
Please make sure you try to include everyone. Even if the character seems to want to be left alone, the person rp'ing them does not want to be left alone. The seventh letter is o. If you see an empty post that is several days old, and you have muse to respond to it, do so! Also, if you want to rp with someone, just ask them!

Aging

The staff members will keep track of what month/day it is on the header chart. When your character's birthday comes around, please age them one year. The eighth letter is s. Simple enough.
